Mr Alexander Avanessov UNDP Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator in Montenegro visite PDF Print E-mail

Ivana Tomašević, Director of Business Star-up Centre Bar hosted Mr. Alexander Avanessov, UNDP Resident Representative and UN Resident Coordinator in Montenegro and Mrs. Milica Begović Radojević, Team Leader for Economy and Environment in UNDP Montenegro. The guests visited BSC Bar with the aim to learn more about the activities, goals, achievements of the project, as well as the possibilities for future joint cooperation.

In respect to the above, Ivana Tomašević and Saša Jovanović, Incubator manager had a presentation on BSC Bar. Satisfied with the previous achievements and results of BSC Bar, Mr. Avanessov expressed interest of UNDP in achieving a possible agreement on cooperation with BSC Bar concerning the implementation of several projects in the north of Montenegro for the purpose of enlargement of knowledge and experience that BSC Bar has in terms of providing support to start-ups and existing small and medium enterprises. Recognizing BSC Bar as a possible partner in such projects the intention is to expand experience and knowledge of BSC Bar to the north of Montenegro because BSC Bar in the words of Mr. Avanessov is “one of the few if not the only such center in Montenegro“. These projects would be, in the words of Mrs. Begović-Radojević, reffered to five Montenegrin municipalities: Pljevlja, Žabljak, Šavnik, Mojkovac and Plužine, and the goal is to create one or more incubators in accordance with the needs and possibilities of the municipalities, which will be subsequently agreed.

The participants at the end concluded that there is enough space for the realization of joint projects.

During the meeting Mr. Avanessov expressed satisfaction with the fact that such a center exists in Montenegro and expressed the expectation that cooperation between UNDP Montenegro and BSC Bar will continue.
